Fiat Doblo Lucas Epic Pumpe. - doktorabg - 28-11-2016
Hi to all.
I have one question.
Next week i will fit a second hand pump (rebuild) in Fiat Doblo 1.9 TD , 2001 with Lucas Epic pump.
Should I program the eeprom in pump (93c46) to start the car or not?

No but could be some adaptatiions misfit with dcu3f which initial learn values from original epic pump, but if keycodes ok engine will start. Better working engine you should virgin dcu3f and let it re-learn new pump values

Engine ECU or 93c46 in pump should be virgin?

93c46 in the epic pump has initial factory values taken from the pump characteristic ( features ) due to the mechanic processing, no two pumps have the same written in that eeprom, it`s as the injectors dci codes, it`s a initial code from the pump, and must be written in the dcu3f as an antipollution measure !
Engine starts if cleared keycodes and works best with cleared FF FF pump ! This stops faults as rotor position fault, if engine wearyness goes to difficult starting and bad run - limp mode and so on ...
Diesel on the tank and good battery this is almost everything for using that engine.

Can`t help you more, sorry, me experience only for reno epic+dcu3 R not for fiat epic+dcu3 F but the priciples are the same
Read about eeprom dumps 25080 are some little different from R to F
