Iveco 2005 truck - edc trouble - tuaq69 - 16-12-2016

Hi,

I have a 2005 iveco tractor unit. I get regularly "EDC warning 0E" on screen, resulting in the engine RPM going to 1.000 rpm and staying there. Very dangerous situation as the truck suddenly starts tot accelerate without notice. according to the garage it was a problem with the throttle pedal, which they changed. during some period (a few weeks) the problem was gone but has come back. it goes and comes in suddenly. I have noticed that I get at the same time retarder warning 31 and 3E.

I get the following errors on display/screen :

EDC DTC FMI OC ACT
0E 04 002 Y

RETARD DTC FMI OC ACT
31 04 126 Y

FFC DTC FMI OC ACT
09 12 110 Y
0D 05 022 Y

RFC DTC FMI OC ACT
1A 05 109 Y
1B 05 109 Y
1D 12 109 Y

Does anybody has any idea what is happening and where to look for or start to look at ?

Hi tuaq69
The problem could be in wiring between the accelerator pedal and engine ECU.
Check bulkhead connection E for any corrosion,
Check wires for damage inside corrugated tubing close to ECU, orange colour wires 5157,5158, 0157, 0158, 0159.
