Audi A4 component protection - Harrycz44 - 22-12-2016
Hi all
I change used transmission ecu from audi A4 B8 and need remove component protection, I tried change vin with FVDI but not succesfully. Any idea for unlock it? Thanks

Vas online, Odis online, authorized dealer. FVDI can remove component protection but not for all units-ecus of vag cars after 2009.
But i think that check engine light is off for this DTC. Sometimes Its not necessary to remove it.
Other think you can do is to open ecu and swap eeproms ( i am not sure for that )

FVDI has not CP reset for gearboxecu , only change VIN, but this dont work for me

FVDI has not CP reset for gearboxecu , only change VIN, but this dont work for me
CP has nothing to do with VIN . And FVDI even if it had this option i dont think it could remove CP in gearbox ecu. Open damaged ecu and see what chip-eeprom has inside. Maybe if swap eeproms you will solve problem.
