To connect with esys by icom next You have to for instance with ITOOL Radar reserve the icom ip adres and then connect to the car

I have itool radar installed. I reserved the icom, and when i try to connect the ip adress is automatically inserted under icom/ ethernet, then i hit connect and it says connection failed.

Are you using the correct port for ICOM? (50160) Firewalls open? Latest Firmware installed on your ICOM? (http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=17603)
Should look like this, but with your ICOM's IP.

RE: Icom next can't connect e-sys - darthur90 - 03-01-2017

I will check if the port is open, but the icom is working perfectly with ista+ and ista /p. The ip address is showing up exactly the same as yours. I dont't know what kind of firmware does the icom have. I bought it 3 days ago. How can i check the firmware version? Never had an icom before. Until now i was coding cars with an enet cable.
Thanks in advance!

RE: Icom next can't connect e-sys - Loliceman - 04-01-2017

You got the "ICOM Next" from china reseller?
Let me guess, the ad says "New generation of ICOM"?

If it does, chances are likely that you might be holding a clone ICOM A2 with a ICOM Next casing..
If this is true, I would suggest you to take contact with seller and question him.

If its a genuine ICOM Next and you want to update it, I have a link for the update procedure, keep in mind that attached link is to some random OBD blog, and I don't own an ICOM Next so I cannot test if its the right procedure or not. Try at your own risk!

RE: Icom next can't connect e-sys - darthur90 - 04-01-2017

It is a genuine icom. I didn't buy it from china. I wanted to buy the older model the a2. I searched the internet for the correct part jumber. After i found the part number i contacted a shop which sells tools for mechanics and told them to look for that part number. They told me that it was replaced by another part number and they can obly order the new one (icom next).port 50160 is open so i will try to update the firmware.
Thanks for your help guys!
P.s. I attached a couple pictures wirh the icom.

Update laptop lan driver / try to connect as soon as the icom has boot, no later

RE: Icom next can't connect e-sys - SCOTT - 04-01-2017

how old is you ista and istap that it is working well with ?

i would have thought if it was pretty recent then the firmware should be there , otherwise ista or istap would be telling you to update the icom .

you can find the version in i-tools.

RE: Icom next can't connect e-sys - darthur90 - 04-01-2017

I'm running ista/d 4.03. and ista /p 3.60.2. It didn't ask me if i wanted to update icom. I can check the firmware with ItoolRadar?
