EEPROM Replacing Guide - fiazhnd - 28-02-2017

I was thinking its good time to start to learn some basic about EEPROM.

I adjust one Suzuki car odometer and the EEPROM was S93C66, i was thinking what if my EEPROM is corrupt than i need to replace. in picture one i have EEPROM S93C66 BDDVC9 7337, search on aliexpress and found many S93C66 EEPROM but not exact (2 pics are attached).

So my question is, Is there any special consideration when we buy EEPROM?
My three attach EEPROM picture are different, will these are same for work or need to match exactly.

Please share your thoughts will help the newcomer.

Every 93c66 well work.
Just pay attention that 93cXX can be read as 8 bit or 16 bit. I prefer to have a backup read of both.

Thank you for your reply i am using X100Pad and i think its reading in 8 Bit because its default and cannot able to change that.

So what i understand from your reply the above-attached picture of 93C66 are same.
