What is the difference between this version and the licensed versions? Any are better than other?

Concerning ISTA D and ISTA P they are the same,just the instalation mode is different.

Standalone versions usually have hardware check removed as well as fasta mod for quicker runtime. Also, they can be installed in alternative locations, including secondary hard drives.

Configuration is different and they have different purposes. ISTA-P is mainly for encoding (ie VO coding) & programming. ISTA+ (AKA ISTA-D) is for diagnostics and programming Fxx-/Ixx-/Gxx-series. Details are found in FAQ

I have tried today an F 01 with ISTA-D to program (with full PsdZdaten), but unfortunately comes error: vehicle please identify first, although I have vehicle read out and error cleared.
What is the problem?
