Minimum ODIS-E version for 2015 Golf TDI? - ninja_zx11 - 15-08-2017

Could anybody please suggest what version of odis-E i should use with my 2015 tdi golf?Car was sold as a brand new 3 months ago and dealer has installed ECU update at the time of selling. So do i need latest ODIS-E or 6.6.1 would work?I need to revert back to pre dieselgate.

I tried Odis-e 6.6.1 with my clone vas5054a but it doesn't detect my ecu.It says something like corresponding ecu file not found??I used 6.6.1 full package from here

Vas5054a detects the VIN and it works with ODIS 4.4.1.I think vas5054a is ok because its firmware gets upgraded and downgraded according to the odis version and it works with all versions of ODIS-S even the newer 4.4.1

My 2009 audi ecu was updated with latest 10/1016 oil consumption ecu firmware and still recognised with odis-e 6.6.1. I believe you should copy odis-s 3.1.3 projects in odis-e 6.7.5 project folder. Also you have to install pdu-api 1.20.037 which is for odis-e 6.7.5, and also copy the installation folder to your engineering pdu api folder).

Thanks apoelistas. I tried odis-e 6.6.1 and copied projects from odis-s 3.0.3 like you suggested me in other post and it worked and successfully did the ecu identification. Now i need to find the proper flash file.smile

You are welcome. Becareful you need to keep your battery voltage to 13.8V. You can use a 10 amp charger.

The battery charger, 13.8V 15 amps, I used got smoked on first use. The ebay seller said that charger only works for model cars (made in uk charger)

I kept my car running when I did flash 2 ECU but I would not flash without a battery charger the following : Engine control unit, or transmission control unit. I am not sure if flashing with engine on would work or not but it is a precaution.

Do you know of a good cheap battery 13.8V charger (10 or 15 amps)???
