I haven't tried it before but I think if you use the 2016 VM with volavka's updates it will update the 2016 GDS2 to 2017. Then install v2017.5.0 and should work.
Here are the links:
Try using 'xtac1080' VM (http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=23356) ,
Then install 'volavka' OpelVauxhall v2017.01.0, v2017.3.0, v2017.4.0 (http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=26071)
Then install my Opel/Vauxhall v2017.5.0.
Give it a go and let us know how you get on

If using a virtual machine with persistence to preserve 30-day lease, you must do the following:
-shut down virtual machine and disable persistence
-power on machine and install 2017.5 updates and ensure lease/application works fine
-shut down and then re-enable persistence. Machine should now have 2017.5 update and 30-day lease preserved

GDS2 can be release of course.
There is a solution but its not public.
And you can use any GDS2 version in native windows not vmware

I was asking because I know of a way to renew a gds2 lease as long as that computer had a running installation of gds2 with a valid lease at one point before.. Didn't know if someone was in that situation, that's all.. I'm new here, figure I'd try and help out before I find something I need help with, lol..

Here the info of what you hsve to do.
The Gtis v32, Tech2win v2.332 and GDS2 any versions can be installed and activated in native windows system no vmware need. Then you have to activate them forever (limited or unlimited time ).
How to activate GTis v32 - there is a thread that provide activation for free
How to activate Tec2win v2.332 - by crack
How to activate GDS2 - by license/activation for how long do you need

ok. i understand this.
but i have few days on forums looking for this solution and nothing found.
i have paid 200usd to one guy for some bin files but i can't use them because he did not replay back with info.(i will give them for free if you or other can help me to make gds2 and tech2 install)
now i'm looking for someone to help me with info to make this install,
like i say before...for this help i will pay money just to see it done.
