Well you need NBT, emulator and some FA coding smile))

emulator can be exchanged with custom fsc kit. What about zgw and micophones, what wiring and etc?

There is no guide for it. You need to take into consideration currently installed equipment, production date and customization.
Do your homework and research, test, read, plan and you will know what works/what does not work.

Generally, the early models such as F10/F11 2010/01 - 2011/09 you would probably save a lot of time and headache by buying a MOST Fxx adapter because of CAS/ICM(PDC/HDC buttons + gyro) and ZGW(ZGW1 with MOST) will not work with NBT. HU, ZBE(10pin plug), CID amongs other run on K-CAN1 bus. So a lot of wiring needs to be rewired according to NBT standards, including FBAS/TRSVC pins.

Later production cars(Late 2011 - 2012) tend to usually be easier, with 4-pin ZBE, new HW revisions on ICM, CAS and ZGW. Car can now handle the GYRO information, ZGW2 is plastic with MOST, but is able to be flashed with 4-sk or 8-sk SWFL and MOST disabled.

It's impossible to give a full description on how to do this step by step, but I would suggest you start on step 1 and work your way to knowledge. If you run into troubles, post a thread about it.

Good luck

I think for the ZGW you can use your old ZGWt, just uni flash it to LCI firmware. NOT THE bootloader it self but jut the software.

Yes, if the ZGW is black plastic and labeled "ZGW2-MID" or similar.
But this is only 1 problem out of 200 he might encounter on this retrofit.
He also haven't provided any VIN or other information so its hard to know.
From own experience, Metal housed ZGWs do not take the flash of 4sk or 8sk swfl.

I will start and if problem ocourse that cant be solved by myself i will ask here.

RE: F10 NBT retrofit - BimmerSLO - 02-02-2018

Please someone help me. I have a black plastic ZGW-02 from a 5/2012 F10 and I want to flash it to 4SK ok 8SK.

What is the procedure?

Yes, how to do that?

RE: F10 NBT retrofit - Thorsten - 02-02-2018

Hi,

About metal ZGW1, they can get converted to ZGW2.

But there is a different about mid and high models, mid are missing the ethernet connection to headunit...

So coding is possible, it will work - but flashing only with can possible.
