I currently have a full licensed copy of VCDS which on previous generation cars was fantastic but since moving to the MQB platform, I find it not all that useful anymore and limited in what can be coded. VCDS is fantastic for error codes and very basic programming don't get me wrong!

VCP looks a good alternative but a lot of people here are using ODIS-S/E but the clone interfaces seem to be pretty hard to come by now that will work "off the shelf" and VAS6154 hasn't gone mainstream yet unless you buy original. Am I missing something here?

I'm very tempted to sell VCDS and buy VCP but just want to see if I'm jumping in without finding the best solution.
