Help with clone an identical ECU diesel unit SIMOS PCR 2.1 1.6TDI - urgi - 28-01-2018
Hi guys
I'm just wondering if anyone could help me explain how to clone an identical ECU diesel unit SIMOS PCR 2.1 1.6TDI
Friend of mine have damaged high voltage part of ECUs for injectors, and he bought identical one from ebay.
I have Galleto 4 and what I did:
-put new ECU to boot mode and ulock it via Galleto (only once)
-download the .BIN of the old ECU and try to copy it to the new one over OBD
-and here's the problem of the new ECU is immediately blocked IMMO no-start anything
GOLD EDC16 .....

There is a VAG specific website with PCR2.1 viewer, clone etc. I have not used them, but many options are apparently available (many other ecu is supported too)

I don't think you can just clone it. You must transfer CS MAC and PIN to donor. I did it with AVDI. There is a video in YouTube.

Oficalusis have right you have to transfer cs,vin,pin,mac and coding.one guy clame he read complete tricore from pcr by chosing other protocol like edc17 but I never belived this..

is this OK forextraction of cs,vin,pin,mac and coding? what about immo free? Is able to do as well? Or new key codding?

The only immo free on this ecu is emulator

What about abrites? will basic for 900 eur OK for clone EDC 17? or need I buy something more? THX
