mpps has option to check the file before writing?

Ok np, ive not used v16 mpps but i remember on the older v13 that on some, maybe even most ecu's, there was option to checksum file

Yes Mpps v16 it says "Checksum will be automatically corrected" most of the times. But it fails with the checksum correction sometimes due to unknown reasons, and throws a "Access denied" error, and the DME gets stuck in programming mode. Has to be waken up with ista-p.

Do you know the I level of your original file?
I'm very interested in how you get on because my car is 535d pre-LCi. It is running June 2009 software throughout the car.
I have a map on it but it's not checksummed and ISTA-D picks up on it immediately. It was put on professionally though.
You're welcome to a copy if I can figure out how to attach it here.
At the moment I physically have the DPF off to wash it out but if that doesn't work I'll be looking to put a hole through it and for a DPF off and EGR off applied to my file by some kind person on this forum.
I also have MPPS V16.
