Ktag kess full backup - krisrider24 - 07-02-2018 Hello every body I was wondering in ktag if an ecu is not listed (example Seat leon 1m tdi 150 edc15). Is this ecu not supported? Or can we perform a full backup via obd2? Is this want to say that all memorys are available for reading from obd2? If I flash my ecu and if the flash crash. Can I recover my ecu with kess (recovery mode) with the ori.bin I read from obd2 Port? If not how to recover the ecu ? It is only to learn I did not do anything wrong Another example with an edc16c34 in ktag I can perform a full backup (three memory) in case of wrong flash I can recover the three memory. Thank you RE: Ktag kess full backup - ltujustas - 07-02-2018 Edc15 you can just desolder flash memory and read with programmer, almost all edc15, kess or other tool reading, writing good. Sometimes I go out to do recovery with kess, but better do recovery via bdm ktag or other tool for edc16-17, you need only full readead via bdm flash for that. Ktag allways reading full bdm, and you can allways recover your ecu if that ecu not broken. For vag's edc16-17 sometimes I do recovery with ecu update in odis or vcp. If you broke flash EDC15 and kess can't do recovery, you need desolder flash and write ori file, if you don't have it, google can help to find out. RE: Ktag kess full backup - krisrider24 - 08-02-2018 Well Itujustas thank you very much. I Will learn how to desolder flash in the case I have a problem with a flash. But if the batteries is ok and the power supply of the laptop I don't risk anything. Is sometimes a flash can be wrong without a reason? Could say me galleto, bdm 100 and fgtech what more ecu they can mainly read and write Thank you very much |
