ISTA/D via Apple USB Ethernet Adapter (MBPro2016) - JLIT - 09-02-2018

Using VMware 10.1.1 and managed to install ISTA D no problem and opens fine in Win7 Ultimate SP1 x64. I've run into issues with the Apple USB to Ethernet driver not being recognized or installing (even manually). Unfortunaely I have one of the late 2016 MBPro's and only have USB-C. I'm using an adapter I've used in the past successfully to open ISTA, before my VM went to hell. Any suggestions as for known working Windows 7 builds paired with compatible VMWare x.x.x?

I use EDIABAS and E-Sys with both VMWare Fusion and via bootcamp on my MBPr 2014 without any problems. I've had it running with both Windows 10 and Windows 7.

Of course it's working on old Macbook without USB-C ...

I'd use my MB Pro Late 2011 if the logic board weren't on it's way out. Don't want to risk a crash mid session...

I can't guarantee it would work, but if the Mac can use the adapter to network, then it should be fine. Set VMWare to use bridged networking mode with that adapter, and then manage the IP settings through Windows.

Natively through bootcamp might be a little trickier. The old thunderbolt 2 would only work natively if the adapter was plugged in prior to booting.

Unfortunately I was using bridged mode prior. My issues were that the driver installation upon plugging adapter in both before boot and after came up with errors and troubleshooting solutions weren't effective.
