[solved] F-Series: Where is the CBS-Information stored? - M-Simon - 21-02-2018

Hi,

due to some switches from 6WA to 6WB (Istrument cluster) and back my stored CBS Information is going crazy. Nothing is corect at the moment.

I know I can correct it with ISTA bt than the counter is raising +1 for every changed CBS Item. (Is ist possible to edit this counters?)

As far as I know the service Intervalls are stored in the Instrument Cluster, but there must be a sencond place.

Any idea how to correct the actuall situation without making it more difficult?

Thank you very much!
BR
Simon

Only time or date based items are stored in the instrument cluster. Engine oil is stored for example in t the engine control unit, or DDE and brake pad info in the DSC. The counter CAN be changed using the cbs correction 'vehicle data' service function with in ista or you can manually input these values using Tool32 using the correct argument string. ista is the easiest and searching is your solution.

Tool32
Example G_KOMBI or KOMB01 prg

additional info in jobs info

|G_KOMBI|CBS_RESET||BRFL;100;0
|G_KOMBI|CBS_RESET||ZKRZ;100;0
|G_KOMBI|CBS_RESET||SIC;100;3
|G_KOMBI|CBS_RESET||TUV;80;0
|G_KOMBI|CBS_RESET||AU;90;0

P.s.
Don't do anything if you don't know what is it

Also please you have to know about manipulation byte

I have a suggestion for you - drink a tee and relax.

I see this information and an editable field on BMW-Explorer and an F32 from 10/2016. But i can check it again for you.

Hi,

thank you very much for helping here. Today I found a very simple (and new?) way in ISTA. rofl ISTA itselfe offers the posibility to change the counters.

See pictures.

Thanks again!
