F56 LCI tail lights (union jack), FA/SA? - Freddy1 - 07-03-2018

Since there a new LCI tail lights for the F56, it is possible to reotrofit them, does anyone know the SA/FA (like 5A2) for them? I guess it´s just cold and warm check.

How about HO-wort HELC?

Do you know there are 2 different tail lights? Ones for F56 with halogen headlights and ones for F56 with LED headlights? I believe you are talking about the ones for LED headlights and if you trying to fit them on to the F56 with halogen headlights you will need change plugs, rewire it, add 1 wire on each side and rout it to BCM and coding.

Yap, I meant the ones for LED headlights, but good infos, thanks

HELC on new firmware does not work. Must just change FA Zeitkriterium and VO Code.

Awesome, will try that soon

Is there a way to find out where HELC applies to which ZK? So far it doesn´t work, maybe I-Level too old?

...with FDL Coding the 3 new LEDs no problem: disabling BL/BFD/FRA Warm/Kaltueberwachung and setting the three to LED. Now only RFL is in LED. But if BMW is updating the BDC_BODY ECU the settings are deleted and you must reset this. Changing FA is not so good because system of dealer recognize a wrong FA and disables work.
But if BMW recognize they can earn money with selling that Backlights a PuMA FA will created directly by BMW and will write that new FA to system and all will be ok changing the backlight from dealer without having problems durable.

One thing I noticed while coding the LCI UJ taillights, I had to disable warm- and cold check, of course, but also kurzschlussüberwachung/short circuit check for BL/Brakelight, otherwise the error wouldn´t dissapear, is that normal? The F56 had LED-headlights, so I didn´t had to rewire anything.

Also it seems there is no PuMa SA so far, so I have to wait a little bit.

You can use modified FA to push FDL changes without modifying VO in VCM.
