BMW E64 disabling active steering - kmodel99 - 14-04-2018
Hi! I tried to disable active steering on 04' E64 645Ci, I coded out sterign light on cluster, but DSC light comes up. There is 00D35D error code "No message (active steering, 0x1FC)". Does anyo0ne have idea how to disable DSC light? I tried coding with FA without 217 option, but there is no change. I know that DSC module is other for active steering so in worst case I need to change it, but maybe you have some idea.

Maybe you need to flash it with proper software without AFS support.

Solved, as inotherwords said, I flashed DSC module with software without active steering. WinKFP in Expert Mode was used. Old ZB Number 6769709, new 6769705

you done like only flash dsc unit or disable in coding by other modules like kombi..etc?I am doing same thing on same car right now

Coding KOMBI, SZL, SGM, also I manual changed some coding in KOMBI (AFS, AKTIVE etc to nicht_aktiv), then flash DSC with other files.

Thank you how did you know that this zb# didnt have active steering ? I need to do this for clients e60 would this zb also work for e60?

If your old ZB number is same as mine, then you can use same new ZB NUMBER. If not, then you need to look around to choose proper.

as i know steering gear should replaced abs module too did you managed turn it off without any changing of partS?
and by your zusb old one from DSCA60 new one from DSC60 family seems im right here
