HELP WITH MERCEDES KEY - spanaz1 - 25-04-2018

I have Mercedes w203 that have a problem with key, the key unlocks the ESL but doesn't turn on ignition switch, when I opened up the key I can see something that looks like a diode burnt inside, can some one confirm if its a bunt diode, if it is what's the part number on it? maybe if I replace it the key may function ok.

Agreed replace diode and should work smile
Glass or ceramic type doesn't matter.

replace it with zener diode yes

I changed the diode and when I put key in ignition it unlocks the ESL but didn't turn, so I removed to try again but this time didn't unlock the ESL. is the key dead?
