Clone med17.9.8 kia - PUMUKY - 25-06-2018

Through Ktag. I have cloned a med17.9.8. I have not had any error. The replacement ecu now does not start and it gives me an error of mcu. Do I have to modify the files?

Did you modify the files in the OTP areas ? If not this could be your problem

cheers

No, I just read the original ECU with KTAG, and the same files I wrote in the other ECU.

How do I modify those files? and what should be modified?

Do you mean to have made immo off ?, Is there no way to keep the immo?
Thank you

On kia/hyundai no need to clone, just use gds to adapt donor ecu. Only thing you need is pin from donor and from ori. Can get pin here on the forum or at local kia dealer.

I have the pins, but how should I do it? Also, I have GDS.

Can you indicate the procedure in GDS ?. Thank you

When replacing a ecm on a Hyundai or Kia you need to place the donor ecm into neutral mode. which is done with GDS. The donor ecm can be installed in the vehicle that requires the donor ecm. Then you need to go into immobilizer, and it will list you Password teaching/ changing, Neutral Mode, Limp home mode, Smartra Neutral Mode,Teaching. You first need to choose Neutral mode and it will ask for the PIN code, here you need to enter the pin code based on the donor's ecm vin's PIN. Once that's entered then you need to choose Smartra Neutral mode and it again will ask you for a PIN... that pin is based off the vehicles vin (car that requires the ecm/"NOT" the donar ecm's vehicle's vin) PIN code. Then you can verify that the immobilzer data shows ecm-neutral and smartra-neutral. Next you need to learn the keys with Password teaching. Keep in mind the new vin will be whatever the used donar ecm car shows, unless you change that with a different method.

You refer to the neutralization mode of the smart keys, and then make learning of the new keys. I've seen that in the options in GDS

1. Module Smart Key/ Smart Key Unit
2. Vehicle Sw manager
3. Neutatralization.

Is correct?

I have made your steps, but it still does not start.

I have several tests and I do not know why I still do not start, The DTC that gives is P0606 MPC error.

I have tried several files modified by me, such as TPROt off and inmo off, but it still does not start.

I have also stolen to program the keys, and it does not start either.

Can you check the files?

Thank you

I have cloned eprom, and mpc, but I can not get it started, or with immo off, my doubt is that the files are well done.
