Audi A3 (8P) Electric steering rack motor - Nogger - 29-06-2018
Audi A3 (8P) Electric steering rack motor strip down- Anyone worked on these
I am trying to remove the ECU unit off this A3 power steering unit (Power steering keeps dropping out- see pics)
I have managed to get 3 of the 4 bolts out no problem, last one i had to drill out. The black plastic ECU housing is free of the metal housing but seems to be secured somewhere at the end opposite the plugs, i just can't get it free. I'm not sure if it is just seized up or if theres something else i need to do to free it.
Has anyone ever stripped one of these before, is the ECU even supposed to come off?
I dont want to force it in case i damage something
Any help appreciated, someone on here must have done this before.
