Both methods give same result.

In case your ECU needs parameterization files then those are available from VCP support and you can download them.

I can't sure that can match B9 A4L.
Or you can give me a store can Bought the newest which can match my car, language is Chinese better.

VCP 5.5 is clone. Newest version is something like 8.x

For backing up your ecu you need help from someone else. It is done externally (by opening the ECU) using KTAG, and you can back up, or transfer the ecu to another similar second hand control unit. This is too advanced to me too.

odis-E has some additional options for engine ECU to parametrize but I have not tested them. Maybe you get lucky and this is only what is needed.

Try first with odis-E. Try what parameter options it gives you and copy them here. Maybe someone can help you out.

I am not sure if mmi navigation firmwares are available for free. Theoretically they should be bundled with the maps. Maybe if you disclose your firmware maybe someone can advice.
