A6 2005 MMI PROBLEM - rs@chip - 14-09-2018

Hi guys.. I have a6 2005 here and all media devices are dead (phone,media,radio,navi display) no comunication with diagnostic..when I try turn on audi logo showes for 2-3 seconds on screen and gone!checked all fuses and cables wich I can acess and dont find a problem.any known fix for this?MMI need to replace?any info would help,thanks

Run optical test with vcds, it may give you answer, but best is to get optical loop and isolate components one by one...probably mainunit, amplifier, radio or bt module is dead.

some optic is dead, most likely is the tuner. the optic terminal dies, on ebay is TYCO 1-1394640-1
you can test what module is dead by a most bypass. i have it from a scrapyard from bmw(the thing that you unplug ftom the connector when programming) or have to take a part each most connector and put the two fiber optic infront of each other(i put them in a hose 3.2mm 10mm long, when i did not have the bypass)

sure I have lot of them (more familiar with bmw) I will test one by one than..thanks for advice yes

BT module in driver's footwell, the most common problem in all C6, there is always water  speechless
