Digital cruise control display not always working - Freddy1 - 24-09-2018

I often came to this problem, if you do a cruise control retrofit on some cars, with low cluster/kombi, and do the 540/544 coding, it should activate TEMPOMAT_SETZ_ANZ_DAUER wert_02 (and a few other values). But often it doesn´t work. For example:

A X1 E84 with no cruise control gets a new SZL with 544 (Dynamic Cruise Control), but still has the low kombi, everything works fine, except the display, if the cruise control gets activated. Sometimes I could get it working after updating it with WinKFP, and sometimes I also rewrote the EEPROM with a dump that has the cruise control display, which worked, but that´s takes too much time.. Is there another method, except switching to a high kombi?

Too bad, I don´t know what´s the issue behind that? I would understand if the kombi is from 2004 or 2005 and you just can´t code it. But in my case it was one from 2015. Or is it because of different manufactures, like VDO and Siemens?
