NBT EVO ID5 - stuck in flash mode - Wibbles - 29-11-2018

I have a friend with an Evo that he has tried to flash in esys with newer PSDZData - the flash started, then failed.

Bootloader did not flash and now the unit cannot be contacted via Tool32 or Esys. It can be pinged on 169.255.199.99.

Any suggestions on how to recover this?

Thanks.

I had same situation with G30 HU before. You can try to flash it on bench. It did work for me.

Are you guys experiencing this issue with a patched evo? Before not a problem but when flash shafts it fails?

RE: NBT EVO ID5 - stuck in flash mode - masa52 - 01-12-2018

had patched evo and back to factory flashed several times since that and no problem so definitely no problem with patch

Yes there was a bug recently with HU Workshop tool that was causing such issues, been resolved now, but some units got affected and recovering them will require SSH or serial connection.

By the way in the cases I dealt with, v850 gets corrupted as a result and even dev_uds with tools32 was unable to reset the chip.
So SSH access or serial was mandatory to restore those units.
Anyone that need those units restored PM me.
