Problem with retrofitted 6WB into 5-GT with headup - jeroenbmw - 26-12-2018
Hi,
I have something very strange, i retrofitted a 6WB kombi into a 5-GT from 2010, the car have original headup display.
I can code and programm the kombi without problems, but the problem i have is that the speed that you drive that you see into the headupdisplay in digital is in a strange dark white (close to yellow) color, and with original 6WA kombi the speed is showing in sharp white color.
I have this issue not 2 times, 1 time with a 5 GT and one time with a 7-serie (F01)
Does someone know if this is something to code? or use the 7 serie platform a different kombi as the F10 for example?
The Hwel in Esys ik good so i suggest the kombi is compatible with this cars also.
Let me know if somebody also have seen this issue already, and so yes is there any solution to it?

is it due to the HUD being of the old 3 colour type as 6WB was only available after the full colour HUD was released?

Yes, maby that would be the problem.
I will look when customer comes back if its possible to code this option.

You cannot code this, the hardware is different

have already retrofitted many 6wb with 3 colors hud.
with which zk did you encode
