software update - v9_1 - 10-01-2019
Hi
On the bmw site in software updates inserting the vin of my f20 of 2011 returns me an update UPD3007.bin
As packages my car has only
S663A Radio BMW Professional
S698A AreaCode 2 For DVD
(without usb navigator and bluetooth)
How do I upload the update? do I burn the file on cd?

usually UPD update files are for the Bluetooth module to support recent smart phones , are you sure your car doesn't have Bluetooth connectivity .?

I recently bought my car .... and on my i-drive there is no bluetooth voice, phone, or navigator.
What advice to check?
Do I have to disassemble my radio?

the site https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/software-updates.html inserting the vin of a car returns updates for the packages installed on that vin ... correct?
Well! How come by inserting the vin of my car I return the Bluetooth update that I do not have in my car?
Also if the update refers to other hardware of my car ... how can I install it? I do not have usb only aux input. Thanks

Check the factory specs of your car in this website .

Maybe the previous owner had disabled some options or replaced headunit with lower version

put your bin file to usb key , key to usb in glove/wherewer you have usb slot and navigate idrive to setting/software to update.
its update for multimedia/phone/office etc.

I have already checked your VIN ( attached is your car full information without VIN information mentioned ) , the only option you have which is related to your car is " S8SCA Telematics Access Requestcountryspec " , that is the reason why BMW website offers you an update .
you can simply ignore the update as it doesn't really add any new value to your as a driver.
