REWORKED: EU Kess V2 - DieselBoost - 13-01-2019
Hi,
i have now bought 2 chinese EU Kess V2 5.017 clones, just to find out that theyre very unstable and unreliable
Even though i bought not the cheapest ones at all. I heard that some people offer reworked models. Can somebody please share their experience with these units? Are they really that more stable and faster? And where to buy them?

I'm not the owned of KESS yet, but plan to be soon.
Judging by all threads on this forum and over the internet, it seems to be a night and day difference regarding stability.

It has for sure been a nightmare for me.
However i have found this guide that i want to share with all.
I am thinking of trying it on one of my units.
But for now waiting on feedback from other members

I bought also a china clone of Kess 4.037 FW5.017 (65$) and read/wrote some cars without any problem. Even checksum correction on a Mazda CX-5 worked!

i have used a couple non reworked clones and when they work they work but then all of a sudden they dont
i can comment that reworked tools can do ecus that clones refuse to and are more stable and reliable
they are same as EU clones (already reworked)

So this one is already reworked? Then why are 2 (two!!!) units so unstable and slow? First one never worked on any ECU (Wakeup error, i think SD card??)
This one now worked okay in the beginning with reading ok, writing only on EDC15. EDC16 with immo off no writing (Only in recovery 1 time). Also SID803A no reading either. Now barely reading ECU ID, and wakeup eeror every time i try to read/write.
What am i doing wrong? Have only had it for 5 days.

Me also want to buy good working clone, since I am not able to rework it my self, but I dont see how one can sell reworked unit for about 250-400-500e when china clone is about 50e and rework components are about 20-30e, it is ok like to take 20-50 and postage, but so expensive, and we always found like cheap price for members, or special discount, or 50% off or... or... and still no good prices...

if a chinese clone and all the rework items are really that cheap then surely you would teach yourself how to rework them
for me you are paying for the experience on how to rework, the soldering quality and a pre-done unit working out the box
these EU units sold by a few people are just fancy colours imo
