DDE7 811 111 EWS4 SYNC ISSUE - ravz - 29-01-2019
Hi Guys,
New to the forum. was hoping i could get some of the experienced guys to help me with a situation i have at my workshop,.
2007 Bmw x3 2.0d - n47d20 engine
ecu: dde7 811 111
ews 4ool.
the vehicle's battery died over the weekend. We didnt know this and tried starting it to move it out the workshop on monday morning. Car would swing but not start. After replacing teh battery, we tried again. WOnt start.
DDE - EWS Interface error.
apparently this version of EWS cannot be resynched as it has a rolling code / ISN which is now mismatched due to us starting it with a low battery.
I tried many diagnostic machines and none of them allow EWS/ DDE sync. They all state this version doesnt need calibration.
I have also tried the spare keys.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this car started. IS their a way to sync the ews and DDE?
I have had a similair issue before on many BMWs but was always able to resync using diag tool.
Any help will be appreciated as i have had many locksmiths etc try with no joy and customer has now hired a loan vehicle which i have to pay for until i get his car fixed. PLS help.

Ews4 dont have sync, its checking long isn, upload cas and dde dump here

He did not write which BMW model ???
most of N47, has CAS (models e8x, e9x)
but there are exceptions
BMW X3 E83 has EWS (EWS4) (models with N47 engines)

Thanks for replies. @DNK76. I did state at the top of my initial message that it was a e83 X3 with DDE7 a d ews4.4
Can anyone help. Im stuck with this car
Vehicle is e83'X3. It does not have CAS. Only ews4. Synchronization via obd is not possible on this version of ews.
Im not able to attach dump of ews and dde for some reason
Dumps below. Please can someone that has experience please review files and let me know if you can find any problems with program

How is that possible? Nothing was done to the car or ecu. The only thing that happened was the car battery drained out over the weekend. When we tried it on the Monday it had a lazy crank. We changed battery and tried again. Car cranks but wont start.
If it is DDE, can I buy another ecu and flash it with this ecu file?
Any help will be appreciated guys. Customer is giving me a hard time understandably. His car came in driving. Im now having to pay for his hire car until I get his car running. Any help ir suggestions. Im desperate to fix this car asap.

Is edc16 yes ? Usually in these circumstances get ecu same numbers hw and sw all is needed is eprom data swap to new ecu
I look on web and cartech electronics shop offer a same hw sw used ecu with data transfer (eprom data swap) plug n play
