6WA Kombi R270+ - icecapuk10 - 11-02-2019

Hi, I am new to the forums. Could anyone recommend a test clip/adapter to read a 35160WT on a 2017 6WA Kombi that is compatible with a R270+  (without the need for de soldering  the chip) ?

Thanks.

Hi and thank you for your reply, however post 14 on thread https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=42031&page=2 advises that the VIN can be blanked using the R270. The OP states he connected with a test clip which is what I am after as I do not want to go down the de solder route. The 6WA Kombi has a lower mileage than what is currently on my car.

Thanks.

you can change data in the chip, but dont program mileage on this type.

technicaly you can connect a clip to the r270 adapter, but i strongly advice to desolder the eeprom. (it might not even work by clipping a clip on eeprom, but its not a good idea to try anyway. especially on this eeprom because you cannot replace original eeprom, it has chip-id)

I also see the case when someone erase fujitsu memory using clip on simular cluster...
