Unknown Maps: EDC16U34 - DieselBoost - 11-02-2019

Hey pros!

Can somebody tell me what the marked maps are in the attached picture?

RE: Unknown Maps: EDC16U34 - DieselBoost - 11-02-2019

Found the first one in an other damos i have. Its called "Drehmomentkennlinie". That translates roughly to Torque Map. It has the ID tag: Eng_trqSpd_CUR.

According to the EDC16 Funktionsrahmen it is the actual allowed torque corresponding to the actual rpm.

What i just dont understand yet: The map values are way off. The Torque limiter (The one we all know, by atmospheric pressure & RPM) will go up to 360 nm.

This "Drehmomentkennlinie" will only go up to 205 nm.

Can anyone explain the difference? Is it internal and external torque? But then still the numbers are off..

hello,
i`m not sure if i had understood right and i`m not an expert in working with maps,
i only make tuning files with ecm, but i speek german and i knew about diesel engine since it became growing up in vag 1Z tdi 1992...
I think what your are watching is called "Trübungsbegrenzung" or "Rauchgaskennfeld" that prevent the engine smoking to much whole time under maximum load.
regards

Hello Tomate,

Thank you for the reply, but i am definately shure for the first one. Thats because it has a ID on it in another damos. This ID i found in the "Funktionsrahmen". I will also share that one with you:

First map supposed to be Torque limiter when engine is in limp mode. Correct me someone if i'm wrong.

Thanks, that makes good sense actually. Then we only need the flat ones after TL smile
