How to change Battery to 100Ah to E60 - luv2vexx - 12-02-2019

Hi

I had to change my battery yesterday from a Genuine Battery 90Ah to A Bosch S019 100Ah.
Now i registered the battery using Ista D but cant seem to change the 100Ah.

Any help would be appreciated

for E60 , you can change to normal ( non AGM ) 110Ah only .

E B080 BATTERIE_80AH //80 Ah-Batterie
E B090 BATTERIE_90AH //90 Ah-Batterie
E B110 BATTERIE_110AH //110 Ah-Batterie
E A090 BATT_AGM_90AH //90 Ah-AGM Batterie (SA536)
E A080 BATT_AGM_80AH //80 Ah-AGM Batterie

but you can stick to 90Ah configuration , not a big difference and your car will do just fine .
if you want to change your battery configuration then you need to edit the FA with NCS , Ista D doesn't have this option.

Thank you.

I have to reinstall inpa again as it only showing me MASK no CAS option to code.
Carly gives me the option of registering as 95AH

There is no 95Ah on E60. Don't know about carly. I would stay at 90Ah to avoid situations when car thinks there is enough juice left in a battery when in reality there is not.

Thanks mate, Yes you are right, i will leave it at 90Ah.
My battery was never changed and only found out how old it was by looking at the terminal engraved with date.

There is also an option in ISTA-P to register the correct battery, if someone prefer that way.

offcourse not the same at all , ISTA-P will take 1 hour just to make battery configuration change , that is only if user have expert mode enable and disabled PROGRAM all ECU and enabled only CODE .

NCS can change FA in 30 seconds , and code full car in 1 minute .  handshake

In ISTA/P, at least AOS version, You can disable all measures plan's and go directly to battery coding.
Yes it still takes a "bit" more time than doing same with ncs... hi
And with F-series, same story, but only doing same with ISTA next.
I haven't figured out yet how to do it with esys. All the cars till today have been only new battery registering, which is peace of cake with Ista.

Esys procedure is exactly same as NCS , in Esys FA editor can also be done in no time .
