Fgtech v54 chksum - torquefreaks - 28-02-2019

I’m just looking for some clarification when using “WriteAll” I get a print for chksum and I’m not 100% what it means as this is my first attempt at writing a adblue removed file. The prompt says “CHKSUM NEVER SUPPORTED FOR WRITE-ALL!!! CONTINUE?” Does this mean it will correct the checksum or it will not and I need to do it?

You are prompted to correct the checksum, click yes.

Checksum never supported, that doesn’t sound like it’s not going to correct it ? Or am I gonna be prompted after I click continue?

it is what it say , “CHKSUM NEVER SUPPORTED FOR WRITE-ALL!!! CONTINUE?” it do not suport checksum correction so if checsum is wrong it will wrie as it is , i never used checksum correction if the files have correct checksum

Click yes, should fix

Uh oh we have conflicting reply’s now haha. If checksum is written wrong does it brick the ecu or can the checksum still be corrected and re written?

RE: Fgtech v54 chksum - zmann - 28-02-2019

It says "Checksum Unavailable" for this type of device or this option of programming (Write-all). Every byte of whole data will be written as same as original file to the chip.

IF you did your changes to the "all" file (included internal/external flash, eeprom all in one), then you should correct your own checksums.
The program will never correct checksums in the "all" file, because it's a compilation of all the memories in one file.

If you did your changes to the internal flash, then you should flash only the internal flash, and the program will prompt you to correct checksums.
