Passat B8 lane/front assistants not available on mib 2 - emtezet - 28-02-2019
Hello,
i have a 2015 Passat B8 with the MIB 2 High system.
I retrofited a backup camera with moving guidelines (the one that have the interface built in). Since then (but i am not exactly sure because i did not check it) i cannot activate the lane assist or other assistants from the MIB menu.
Whenever i press the checbox i get the message that "function is currently not available" - picture attached.
My job was coding the camera and changing the 5f adaptation:
Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-VPS_0x0B activated
Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-VPS_0x0B_msg_bus Databus Infotainment
I tried to compare the coding with two similar cars and i do not see any differences. Also there are no errors in the modules
Activation of the assistants using the instrument cluster and steering wheel works.
There is the log file from the car.

The assistant is still encoded in the modules A5 : Frt Sens. Drv. Assist, 13: Auto Dist. Reg and 03: ABS Brakes
and it should probably be the Databus extension, not the Databus Infotainment bus.

What do you mean? It shouldn't be encoded there? I did not change anything in those modules...
I have already tried to change adaptation to Databus extended, but it didn't help.

Have you checked whether Side Assist and Line Assist work without problems?
and is ACC radar with Front Assist ??

The side and line assist work, but they also cannot be set in navigation menu. I can set them only on the instrument cluster using the steering wheel.
I am not exactly sure if the car was equipped with front assist, the coding of the last byte in 5f was lost because of crappy vcds, so i restored it basing on the vin decoding, which said:
6K4 Area monitoring systems: Front Assist incl. city automatic emergency braking for ACC high
I didn't make any changes in the car apart module 5F, 6C and 19, so is there a chance that it changed itself?

I sent an instruction to the PM message. Download and Read, The material is extensive
and in Spanish for VW37X, but let me handle it.
Together, all Assistants are coded a little differently. there you will find a solution for VW48X, it is Passat B8.

The problem is solved. Doing adaptations for all the systems according to the file given by qwerty1234512 resolved the issue, i have no idea how could they dissapear but coding them again step by step worked.
