hello,
need some info. I wanted to disable seat occupancy mat on 5 series e39 and after coding I can't erase errors. I get error message " -ECU rejected " when trying to delete errors in both INPA and ISTA.
Did I kill the airbag module ?

i believe yes. no other errors? for example internal error?

There’s communication with airbag module, can read errors but can’t erase them.

Again, do you have ECU internal error F0 or 240 as part of your errors??

No I don't think so but I'll check it once again this weekend just to make sure.

reprograming mcu is the only way to repair the module after coding wrong values

I got a use airbag module from the scrap yard but not from the wreckage. I have installed it in my car tried to code it in ista p. It was only a partial success. Please see picture attached. Anyway it still gives me a message “Access to ECU is rejected”.
Any idea ?

If you have error 240 than you can not recode.

There are so many errors but yes I have noticed an internal error 240.
Is there any other way to fix this module ?
