BMW ISN location DDE626 - neils - 06-03-2019

Hello everyone,

I have a e70 and bought used DDE626 (EDC16c35) and found the ISN code in 3 lines of the eeprom 95640 and changed it with the right one. Flashed it to the right VIN with WINKFP. Synchro with ISTA + is says complete sync but still not starts.

Is there another line in the flash or MCU that containes also ISN? or can i make DME virgin? i know already the VIN is not important.

Thank you for the file! i have also found the 3 strings, synchro does fine but not start... is there another position in the eeprom i have to change so it 'unlocks' ?

Not working... keeps giving ews manipulation but synch is ok.

update: after few weeks looking and experimenting i can make immo off program used dme to work with ready installed CAS.

RE: BMW ISN location DDE626 - PsiDOC - 21-09-2019

For the sake of completness, you didn't update the checksum for those areas of the eeprom which have been changed, hence EWS manipulation still active. wink

In the original file, if you highlight the area shown in picture and checksum 16 it it comes out at 3FF.
If you subtract 3FF from FFFF you have an answer of FC00, which can be seen at the next 2 bytes to the highlighted section.
The FC00 is the checksum and needs to be changed if ISN is edited.
DO this for all 3 areas and all will be good.
