Combox retrofit - SOS with Bluetooth? - wursti - 24-03-2019 Hello everybody, I've successfully retrofitted a Combox telematic in my 2009 LCI e90. The car had a MULF and TCU. I've also connected can low and high to the Combox. The problem is, that the SOS-Buttonwon't work anymore. If I press the button, the CIC and Combox tries to start an emergency call, but will end after a few minutes with an unsuccessful call. I think the reason is, that i need a jbbfe3 and also a Combox with an active sim from BMW (which is not possible for a retrofit). Here is my question: Is there a way to code the cic and Combox, so that the call will work with the connected mobile phone via bluetooth? In the old configuration it was like that. Would be very kind if somebody can help me. Best regards RE: Combox retrofit - SOS with Bluetooth? - Thorsten - 24-03-2019 HI, disconnect CAN low and high, this isnt needed to use combox bluetooth or USB functions, only for telemtic and or SOS services. Thorsten RE: Combox retrofit - SOS with Bluetooth? - wursti - 24-03-2019 Thanks for your response. If I disconnect the can, is it then possible to use the SOS-Button with my mobile phone? Like it was before? If not, what's the problem with the can-connection? regards RE: Combox retrofit - SOS with Bluetooth? - Thorsten - 24-03-2019 HI, SOS function should work without CAN connection, so it would be possible, that the SIM card isnt activate... External antenne are connected to combox? Thorsten RE: Combox retrofit - SOS with Bluetooth? - wursti - 24-03-2019 Yes. Everything is connected. Bluetooth, GPS is just working fine. Just not the SOS-Function. So, if i understand it correct: If i disconnect the can, the SOS will be working with my phone via bluetooth? Or am I getting it wrong? RE: Combox retrofit - SOS with Bluetooth? - Thorsten - 24-03-2019 HI, if SIM inside combox is active, SOS will worl. Connection with your mobile phone - never tried this, if possible. Thorsten RE: Combox retrofit - SOS with Bluetooth? - wursti - 24-03-2019 Oh ok. No. I think the SIM is not active. It's an old used Combox. My goal was to revert the SOS-Function via bluetooth with my mobile phone. Like it was with the TCU und MULF. RE: Combox retrofit - SOS with Bluetooth? - Thorsten - 24-03-2019 ...the SIM in the TCU was working? Thorsten RE: Combox retrofit - SOS with Bluetooth? - duckdonald - 24-03-2019 SOS not possible via BT phone,... ony with telematic ecu. RE: Combox retrofit - SOS with Bluetooth? - wursti - 24-03-2019 The TCU was factory-fitted in the car. Therefore I guess it was working, but i've not paid the BMW-Service. If i pressed the SOS-Button, the car called the police via my mobile phone. @Duckdonald: Ok. Too bad. Thank you. And SOS with Combox will require a Can-Connection, a active Sim in the Combox and a jbbfe3 that supports ecall, right? |
