Getting some faults on this car...
4FB7 EGS: internal fault 5 (EEPROM WRITING)
DME missfires:
2747 cyl 4
2743 cyl 5
274E several cyl.
2892 misfiring
Does anybody have any info on how to get this car back on the road
?Where is the EGS located?
Is repair possible or does it need new flash?

if you don't know what EGS in bmw is and also you to lazy to even check on google , I don't think any will help you

For first repair problems in engine(misfire)
Then check for correct arrangement of engine and gearbox wiring
Then try update EGS. If it not possible, then you must replace mechatronic in gearbox

problem with this is bad EGS module which is the valve body inside the transmission.
Replace it easy. IF your car is before 2005 there will be no ISN inside EGS.
U can buy it off ebay pretty cheap.
Give the ebay seller your VIN then they will bring u a correct used EGS

As the faultcodes was erased the Engine ran just fine again.
