Most of the modified software will be reported as virus by your computer. I run this software more than a year and never had any issue.
Just copy past it in your destop and run mb ecu 1.7
It does not require you to install it.

Ok I understand better now, "The Norton / Symantec WS.Reputation.1 False Positive" is a common problem for independent developers. The Virus software doesnt understand it so it assumes the worst.
So then which is the hardware interface you are currently using ?

The hardware for this tool is not made anymore from the supplier.
Usually chinese seller sell with other dongle.
Use xprog, carprog or other tool to read the eprom and then renew it with this tool.
