ICOM A2 ori all LEDs red - Stiffmaster - 05-05-2019
Hi,
I have an ori BMW ICOM A2. It worked for many years now, but yet, it's not responsible anymore.
If you connect it to obd socet, all LED's start continiously lighting red. Web IF is not avaiable. Tried to restore firmware, but also not working.
Any ideas?

You need to remove chip K9F2G08U0BPCB0, solder one from donor, restore and update

It may not be related to chip K9F2G08U0BPCB0
If the red LEDs are constantly on, it means that the mega16 does not start, but this can not be connected with the nand flash

First just try to reheat the Atmel Atmega 16L or 16A whichever one you have with a hot air station. If not solved replace the chip with a new one.

reheating will only work temporarily, sooner or later the problem will be back

Is it possible to change the mega16, too or is there some kind of special software on it, that‘s not easy flashable?¿
Tomorrow, I‘ll try with reheating.

New mega16 isn't possible to flash, because firmware is locked. You need donor.
