W204 ELV Steering Lock failure - tsimplas007 - 06-05-2019

I have repaired several steering locks for W204 and W207, so far. Statistically, 2/10 of steering locks often present the same and known problem as regard with the motor within a period of 2-3 months. Except motor, what other reason can lead to or cause this kind of problem? If the problems are due to the motor solely, do you have a reputable -trustworthy- motor seller to suggest?

Best regards

If u have something to program then get an emulator as that will be permanent solution, the repaired lock failure is mostly due to voltage, infact on bench testing too it need good voltage to work properly....u can search for emulator from various brands

as it happens to be i just today installed an emulator for Sprinter w906, and i hope to block the future problem of the ESL. Everything works, i just plugged the emulator when the lock was Unlocked. But now EIS module shows permanent fault as it is not initially started up etc. I assume I should simply ignore that as all works?

Thanks
