I have two EL-50448 and use them almost daily on GM, they work perfectly. Both of them $20.00 clones.
Didn't know they worked on other stuff, bought them primarily because I live in a Chevy Truck town where people swap winter wheels every year.

Nope, small town of 6000 in Canada, only a GM dealer here so everyone drives GM trucks.

Only for about 50 years.
A little research and I found the EL-50448 should work fine to wake up your sensors. The ATEQ VT15 is basically the same tool only a lot more expensive.

I started working on cars at about 15 years old.
My tool (and the ATEQ tools) broadcasts 125 kHz relearn frequency to wake the sensor up, most of the GM sensors I have seen are Schrader. The operating frequency has changed from 315MHz to 433MHz, but the relearn frequency has remained the same.
To read the sensor ID you need more than a wake up tool, but the ID # should be printed on the sensor. Any TPMS tool capable of reading ID will work, like an Autel will read them but you can only program new Autel sensors with it.
To do universal new sensor programming, you would need an expensive tool like the Bartech, ATEQ, or the like. Unlocked to do any sensor, they aren't cheap. Most tools are locked to their own brand of sensors.
