2015 BMW M4 Front End Collision Warning Failure - m3nt4l - 24-05-2019

Hello,

Got a 2015 BMW M4 which had front end damage which has been repaired and is now showing a fault code of:

E1146D - Message (Display for Longitudinal Dynamics Management 2 0x33B) wrong checksum, recieved KOMBI, transmitter ICM/KAFAS/SAS

Anybody know what the issue could be?

I guess the ICM saved the crash somehow and now it need to be reseted/replaced. Did you run ISTA and calculate a measurements plan ? What did it tell ?

So after a bit more digging I could that someone has put a black sticker on the instrument cluster to cover up a red light (see attached picture) I understand this to be something in relation to mileage? 

Also in the rear of the instrument clusters there is a blue connector port should there be something connected here? (See attachment)

Why is the HUD cable missing? Does the car even have an HUD?

Hello,

There is no Head Up Display on this vehicle so at least I know that there shouldn’t be anything plugged in there.

Just need to sort the issue of the anti tamper dot which is showing
