Desoldering/soldering chips - xipsilon - 05-07-2014 Hello everyone, maybe it is not directly connected to the forum topic, but I wanted to ask experienced members what tools they use to desolder smd chips on ecu boards, and what would you recommend. Maybe hot air station or IC welding station with infra red heating... This is the best thing ive used to desolder smd chips EVER!! bit of flux on the legs use heat blower on legs for about 5-10 seconds and chip lifts right off with tweezers. great. I used to slice the bottom of the legs on the ic with a craft knife when I first started doing this work but heat blower is much better as it comes off cleanly and gives no problems good luck bud |
