Renault сlїр - Type Of Power Steering - ssashton - 06-07-2014 Hi guys I'm new here. I have a Renault Laguna II (2002, 1.9dci) and I got one of the сlїр devices from eBay that lets you edit settings on the ECU and clear errors etc.. My car was working great (finally!) but curiosity got the better of me when looking at the configurations on the сlїр device in the UCH menu. I say something which said 'Type of Power Steering' and it was set to 'basic' but also had the option of 'Variable'. So I selected variable. When I restarted the car it gave an error about the power steering system so I went back in and reset it to 'basic' and deleted the error code. However it keeps coming back! Despite setting the power steering to basic again there seems to be something left in there looking for the variable power steering hardware. I found a few other menu / pages that refer to it. Error DF102 is the problem. Can someone help me with how to get this back to normal?! ![]() ![]() ![]()
RE: Renault сlїр - Type Of Power Steering - arhanhs - 07-07-2014 A little help from the manual renault CIRCUIT CONTROL MOTOR STEERING ASSIST 1.DEF: Cut or short circuit INSTRUCTIONS With the engine running, turn the steering wheel to activate the motor variable power steering system. Ensure that the UCH has not prescribed with variable power steering, while the function is not provided in the car. Check the condition and connection of the white plug 40 contacts P101 MEK and plug motor variable power steering. RE: Renault сlїр - Type Of Power Steering - ssashton - 07-07-2014 Thanks, but I'm not sure what that means I need to do? As it says "Ensure that the UCH has not prescribed with variable power steering, while the function is not provided in the car." So how do I make sure it is like that? I set 'Type of Power Steering' to 'Basic' but the error remains. RE: Renault сlїр - Type Of Power Steering - arhanhs - 07-07-2014 Please GO SELECT specifications UCH reading specifications UCH SELECT POWER STEERING What choices READ BASIC PS GO if you can a road test and then , where there is no risk, retry specifications and have a look at this DF001 UCH 1.DEF: Internal electronic damage INSTRUCTIONS Switch. If the fault current: - Switch off the car. Disconnect the battery to resynchronize the UCH RE: Renault сlїр - Type Of Power Steering - ssashton - 07-07-2014 Okay I disconnected the battery and the error is gone So simple! However I now have a different error it is DF053 Vehicle Speed Information - Def1: The speed signal supplied by the ABS is missing. It's strange because I didn't have this error before. I took a short drive (only 2 streets) and the error remains. RE: Renault сlїр - Type Of Power Steering - ssashton - 07-07-2014 No ideas about this one? I can see the vehicle speed readout in сlїр, so how can it give an error?! RE: Renault сlїр - Type Of Power Steering - arhanhs - 08-07-2014 DF053 UCH INFO SPEED CAR 1.DEF: No information Speed Car INSTRUCTIONS Nothing remarkable Perform a full dїдgиo5тїc system ABS (Antilock wheel). RE: Renault сlїр - Type Of Power Steering - ssashton - 08-07-2014 Hi thanks for your help. If there is a problem with ABS sensor won't it show a different error, such as ABS or ESP and tell me about abs sensor? I think it is very strange because I didn't have that error before battery disconnect. Maybe I need to check UCH circuit for any damage. Where is it located in the car? RE: Renault сlїр - Type Of Power Steering - arhanhs - 08-07-2014 Was the message sent to you is from the manual of renault INSTRUCTIONS RENAULT - DF053 UCH RE: Renault сlїр - Type Of Power Steering - ssashton - 08-07-2014 It was from сlїр, when I look at the UCH errors. It says DF053 Vehicle Speed Information. I guess maybe the problem is UCH damage. It is the fuse-box near the drivers dashboard, correct? There was some water coming here and blown fuse. I replaced fuse but I suppose UCH could be damaged. Strange though the car is working perfectly except error message in сlїр! I have another fuse-box so I can try to replace it some time later - I have a lot of work to do now. |
