Hi all..
I was going to read an ecu but i need heating gun to open it, so this project starters later today.
I have my sons corolla d4d 1nd-tv engine with ecu problem according to Toyota.
Some toyotas with this engine has a starting problem when the engine is warm and the problem is in the ecu they say.
So.. i am going to open this ecu, read it with ktag and try to get a good working file for this one.
the ecu is toyota corolla 1nd-tv - edc16c31 - mpc563. Bosch 281 011 733 and 89661-02A90
Any tips / advise ?

Ok, Finally got all the tools i needed. but i got problem reading this ecu, it seems like it reads all without problem but when i save the file i get this error msg : Checksum error. send the software vendor the backup file.
whats next ? skip backup ?
I tried reading it with OptiCan 101 interface too after a tip from a friend but i get same result.

if you read with ktag or kess
check if c++ is downloaded if not you will have this error

I just tested, did not work, i downloaded latest vcredistx86.exe too, but no luck.
This is being tested on a laptop with windows 7 32 bit.
I will test on a laptop with windows XP 32 bit later today.

During soft installation it shoul automaticaly download c++
I have it working on both pc win xp and 7 32 bit
Try redownload soft

Hmm.. tried win7 32 bit, xp 32 bit.. but same trouble..
With win xp i got the error on the picture.Even tried k-suite 225 wich work great with vag ecu's.
