hello I have a unit of bmw series 1 f20 116d with reference 0281035428 d of 8475350 it is possible to read with ktag with gpt lodges an error and does not recognize the unit there is way to read? Can someone help me

Some of my customers just write the file with clone kess without problem.
they just request original files from server and then make the writing with clone kess.

My KTAG reads and writes edc17c50 with GPT just fine. It should work. Consider checking boot pin and all wires.
If not, your KTAG has a problem.
Kess can work too. Takes a long time, however.

I also read with success edc17c50 older units but this unit is from 2018 and hardware EDC 17C50-6.59 I think it is modern and it is not compatible can someone confirm? Thank you

Its not EDC17C50. When the car is a Facelift its EDC17C76 i think. DDE8.3 or 8.31

Edc17c76 is dde7.42
But according to realoem this car is dde7.01 which is truly edc17c50
DDE8+ is all Bosch MGD

you should read it with ktag but 6.070 fw is minimum..check conections check boot pin and keep try

I have read and write edc17c50 with KTAG 7.020 without problems
