Tuning up Rail pressure? - spacie2136 - 22-06-2019

Hi guys,
i've read a lot of different opinions... what do you guys think about incrementing rail pressure? Some tuners say that it never should be incremented due to limitations of the pump.

It depend on pump and ori values if thay hi alredy in my apinion..thay also say duration map should not be cheated but we see all brand tuned maps around with modyfed comon rail and duration time maps.. some like to be smart thats it but there is no perfect tune and if one thing worx on particular car doesent mean it will work on all

Well there are only two ways to get more fuel in. More flow, or more duration.

More flow can be from more pressure or larger injector.

Editing duration will disproportionately raise egt and really ruin the injection window. Adding even more advance isn't a definitive solution.

3 - 4 % fuel pressure increase at part throttle will help improve fuel consumption a bit due to better atomization , or is just insignificant?

have 100s if not 1000s of tunes with increased railpressure

had one issue on bmw and fiat once where they hit limiters and needed a v2 mod, otherwise all fine
