Hello dear experts,
I need your advice and help. I'm thinking about retrofitting an NBT Evo in my BMW X5 F15. I have four basic questions:
1-What is the difference between HW 3.1 and HW 4.1?
2- If I buy a NBT Evo with GPS connection, can use that with the existing 3G TCB without restriction. Or the ATM asks for more benefits besides 4G?
3- If I would use the ATM TCB Telematics Adapter Cable Kit, can I also use an NBT Evo with 3G TCB?
4- Can I build any NBT Evo in my car or do I have to match the part number unconditionally?

1. Google, too many to list.
2. No. The 3G TCB is useless. The GPS connection comes directly from the shark fin and the 3G TCB can stay disconnected. I have the ATM version so I can't tell you if the BMW assist features will be lost also.
3. No. Connections on ATM and TCB are very different. Some of it will transfer over, but no, cannot use 3G TCB with ATM retrofit kit.
4. Any ok.
