Hi guys,

Hope you’ve had a nice day so far.

Was wondering if anybody has encountered this fault / found a fix for it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated  drive

from kafas2 there's a resistance to warm it, you will see that there are two pins in windshield

BMWzone, do these resistors usually go out so quickly (~50k km)? Because if that’s the case my only option would be to replace the windshield, something I’m not very fond of...

thanks,

thanks,

It seems that the heating circuit that is printed on the windshield has no continuity. Is there any way I can fix that?

Use a 50 Ohm resistor in the 2 pin's from the windshield and fake the heater with that.

Definitely a way to get rid of the error, thanks smile.

Was thinking to use some liquid silver to re-trace the interrupted path. Or to use a circuit repair kit (such as Permatex 09117).

Tried to remove the camera assembly (the circuit is discontinued somewhere in the lower part) but it feels so flimsy, not that keen to pull it too hard. Tried youtube - checked all windshield replacement videos but none actually featured the removal of the kafas... kinda stuck here. Any suggestions?

Problem fixed with Permatex, the error is gone.
