Bmw f31 kafas2 5AS error - Pedrom92 - 15-08-2019
Hello, I need help getting 5AS up. I made retrofit kafas the FSC are all accepted added 8TH 5AC and 5AD and everything works without errors. If you remove the 5AD and put 5AS the FCW and LDW cease to work nor to activate. If you put 5AS and 5AD it works again but the pedestrian warning does not work and every time I turn on the car appears crash warning error pedestrian warning and sometimes cruise control but disappear soon and the system is without errors. everything but the pedestrian warning works that can't even be activated. does anyone know what it might be? my car is from 2013 but I had to change the date to 07/2016 for retrofitting led headlights 5A2.

Which ECU's have you VO coded with 5AS?

ICM, DSC, KAFAS, FEM, NBT, KOMBI and EPS.

And you don't have any faults in ISTA? I'm struggling to see what could be wrong unless thee is still some hardware you are missing.

Add switch drive assistant and vibrator in steering wheel and SZL HBA support heat steering and vibrator 2 wire from SZL. See photos. It is strange with 5AD to work everything including vibration and without errors and with 5AS nothing works, nor is it possible to activate the functions on the switch.

Ok, but any faults showing in ISTA? Have you fitted those parts?

In ista only error heated steering wheel. Don’t have in VO steering wheel heat.

With safety equipment BMW can be funny if there are faults present in the equipment. You need to clear that fault, it shouldn't be there. If the car had this equipment from factory there would be no fault about heated steering if it wasn't present. ISTA must and should be clear to continue; thats your priority before you move on.

You have fitted an incorrect part number. That steering wheel electrics is for an F10, could also be causing your errors. That part is 61317848640 you need part 61317849393/61317848641
